This is a pretty cool little low-budget science fiction film. It has a cast of virtual no-names and yet, the acting isn’t bad at all with a particularly good performance from the main android by Don Opper (of Critters fame).
The script is really the shining star here though. It’s more well thought-out and intriguing that most films with 10x the budget. There’s some excellent twists, quite a few great character moments, and a great ending that makes you walk away asking some surprisingly important questions. On top of all that, you have the ingredients of truly great Sci-Fi with the story also bringing up important social questions and ideas about synthetic life. Definitely recommended for science fiction fans.
